The sloping roof is made of tongue and groove spruce, covered with two layers of weather proof roofing-felt, requiring no maintenance. The slope is adjusted so the air is warmest where you sit on the top bench and no loss of energy is made for warming unnecessary air. The roof is strong enough to walk on and could very well be used as a spacious sun deck with a view.
